Artist Bio

Aleksi is a 27 year old queer, Metis artist based out of North Battleford, SK, Canada. She studied fine art at the University of Saskatchewan, and works in a wide variety of media. Aleksi explores themes of identity through inventive use of colour and media that pay respect to her Metis heritage, as well as contemporary queer culture. Aleksi's work is in private collections across Canada, The United States, France, and Australasia, and has been featured in group and solo  exhibitions at the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery, Bridge City Underground, The Drop Spot, The Mann Art Gallery, The Spare Room Gallery, and The Chapel Gallery.
